I bought these about 3 months ago and am pretty pleased with them so far. Agree with some of the reviews that they are kind of long for certain exercises, but are fine for most. Being able to switch weights quickly is really handy. Going up to 90lbs is going to be great for pretty much all the exercises I want to do. I could see needing more than 90lbs for some back exercises eventually, but I am not quite there yet. Once I go past that point I will probably have to get a full gym membership. An associate of mine has an older version of the 50lbs model and he actually had one of the small weights fall out of the unit in mid rep and although I haven’t had that problem, when I am holding them over my head for things like bench press I always make sure that they are positioned in such a way so that if the holding mechanism did fall gravity would still hold it in place. This is actually the natural way to hold the db as you pick it up, so it is really easy. I strongly recommend lifting gloves as the handles aren’t very comfortable for anything over 50lbs. I didn’t buy the roller stand that comes with this although it would be handy, I am just to cheap to spend that much money when I can just put it on a stand I already have.
